Glowing Jar is a private journal for saving small wins, gratitude, and sensory moments. This policy explains what the app processes and why.

Journal entries

Your saved moments and generated reflections are stored locally on your device. Glowing Jar does not require an account and does not upload your journal library to our database.

Optional AI reflections

AI reflections are optional and can be disabled in Settings. When enabled, the text you submit is sent securely to our backend and our AI processing provider solely to generate the requested reflection. We do not use journal text for advertising or store it in analytics.

Usage and diagnostics

We assign a random anonymous device identifier and collect limited product events, such as opening the app, saving a star, viewing the subscription screen, and purchase outcomes. These events help us understand reliability and improve the product. They do not include journal text.

Subscriptions

Purchases are processed by Apple. We receive transaction identifiers, product identifiers, subscription status, and expiration dates to verify and provide Plus access. We do not receive your payment card details.

Retention and control

Journal data remains under your control on your device. Anonymous product events and subscription records are retained only as needed to operate, secure, and improve Glowing Jar, and to meet legal obligations. You may request deletion of backend data associated with your anonymous device identifier by contacting us.

Children

Glowing Jar is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
